i don't believe in outer space description

William Forsythe is one of the world's most influential choreographers. His early work is acknowledged for reorienting the practice of ballet from its identification with the classical repertoire to a dynamic 21st century art form. His more recent works have extended his research on the potential of dance as a performance style and choreography as a means of creating structure.

I don't believe in outer space is, as the title suggests, a very personal piece that looks at the nature of our existence through Forsythe's eyes, both comic and tragic in places. Featuring 14 dancers and a soundtrack by Thom Willems, the work's movements reflect the world's fragility, power, and mortality at the same time.

Founded in 2005, The Forsythe Company continue to draw on the intensive collaborative processes pioneered by William Forsythe, producing works in the areas of installation, film, performance and educational media.
